Objective
To develop and implement marketing plans and strategies to increase worldwide
sales of EPICENTRE's products.
Duties
- Manage new and existing products by developing and implementing product
marketing plans, which include new product development, competitive analysis,
product positioning, revenue and unit forecasting, pricing strategies, and
product life-cycle management.
- Develop tactical plans, create effective promotional and sales tools
and collateral marketing pieces, and utilize multiple channels to promote
products.
- Conduct market research, and maintain knowledge of the trends and competitive
activity relevant to the assigned product area. Use such knowledge to change
or modify marketing plans and tactics/actions.
- Identify products and product applications with the greatest sales and
growth potential, target customers, and key product benefit. Develop an
effective message to convey the benefit, and then develop and implement
a strategy to reach target customers that will maximize sales and profit.
- Follow up on qualified customer leads, develop prospects, and build relationships
with large accounts.
- Work closely with internal departments, e.g., R&D, production, sales,
technical support, and external customer accounts to achieve product sales
targets.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum of a BS in molecular biology, biotechnology, or a similar life
sciences discipline.
- 3-5 years' experience in marketing or product management at a life science
reagents company.
- Excellent organizational, communications, and analytical skills; ability
to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
with tight deadlines.
- Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
and the Internet.
Preferred Qualifications
- MS or PhD in molecular biology, biotechnology, or a similar life sciences
discipline.
- Experience with next-gen sequencing technologies.
- Experience with contact management and database software.
