Ligase is the most frequently cited enzyme for ligation-dependent
mutation screening applications. Derived from a thermophilic bacterium,
Ampligase DNA Ligase is stable and active at much higher temperatures
than T4 DNA ligase. With a half-life of 48 hours at 65°C and
greater than 1 hour at 95°C, Ampligase Ligase demonstrates
exceptional thermostability that permits extremely high hybridization
stringency and ligation specificity.
